I graduated from the UL Masters in Music Therapy in 2021 with a First Class Hons. Prior to this I studied Music and Arts in UCC, as well as teaching guitar, piano, and ukulele to students of all ages. During my training I worked in a neurorehabilitation hospital, two special schools, a residential care home for older adults, and an acute adult mental health unit. Outside of this I have worked and volunteered with clients from a wide range of ages and backgrounds, including work in a direct provision centre, a montessori, a residential setting for adults with intellectual disabilities, day centres catering to older adults with dementia, and more. I consider my approach to be client-led, humanistic, and resource-oriented. This approach focuses on using and supporting the abilities of the client, and working towards empowerment for the client, while tailoring the sessions to best suit their needs.

My approach is largely client-led, humanistic, and resource-oriented, informed by Carl Rogers' work. This approach focuses on using and supporting the abilities of the client, and working towards empowerment, growth, and self-actualisation. My way of working would also have some psychodynamic aspects, to facilitate clients to gain insight into their current self.
My qualification is a Masters in Music Therapy from the University of Limerick. I have full Music Therapy accreditation and am a member of the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists (IACAT).
