Setting up and running pain rehabilitation programmes for patients with chronic diseases in 3 hospitals in the South of Ireland
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a evidence based form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which has been found effective for managing the challenges of living well with chronic illnesses. I have carried out research studies examining the outcomes and processes of change involved when using this form of therapy and findings from these studies have been presented at Psychology and Rheumatology conferences both nationally and internationally.
